Flip the Switch in MyWestfield

If you are using Plato for your summer 1 course it is time to “Flip the Switch” in MyWestifleld.

Each semester If you are using Plato for your course content, you must go into MyWestfield and “flip the
switch” to push students through to the Plato system.

This is not an automatic process and if not done, students who are logging in through MyWestfield will be stuck in an empty course shell.

Flipping the switch is VERY easy.

1. Log in to MyWestfield.
2. Click on the faculty tab.
3. Click on “Click here to view my courses”.
4. Click the little pencil next to your course.
5. Choose the Plato option.
6. Click SAVE CHANGES.
7. Follow steps 4 - 6 for each of your courses.

Click here for a quick video tutorial on how to "flip the switch"

Please email Lisa at lclark@wsc.ma.edu if you have questions. Thank you.

Clicker Update from Joe Axenroth.

During the upcoming fall semester using TurningPoint, the need or want may arise to keep
track of student responses using the reporting tool. Although TurningPoint’s reporting
feature is a very powerful tool, Turning Technologies recently deployed an application called
ResultsManager that allows you to work on reports across multiple sessions seamlessly and
easily. If you would like training, or more information on this application, please contact Joe Axenroth at x8130 or jaxenroth@wsc.ma.edu to schedule an appointment. You can also view the ‘TurningPoint @ CIT’ blog at tpcit.blogspot.com for more ideas. ~ Joe
